FBBA Special Report: Senator Elizabeth Warren Attacks Texas Blockchain Council

Lee Bratcher, President of the Texas Blockchain Council, Posting the following Newsletter on October 13th, 2022:

“Good Afternoon Texans,

You may or many not have seen Senator Warren’s letter to ERCOT CEO Pablo Vegas yesterday (this letter specifically references me and the TBC). Regardless of political affiliation, it is unprecedented that a Massachusetts elected official would spend time questioning the end use of electricity in a state thousands of miles away. Unfortunately, there are numerous misunderstandings and inaccuracies in the letter which again demonstrates the need to educate political elites. Check out the TBC’s response in this press release, on LinkedIn, and on Twitter!

These kind of interactions further convince me of the importance of organized, well crafted strategy as we engage elected officials and regulators on behalf of the bitcoin, blockchain and digital assets industry.”

This is why we in Florida must continue to organize, especially as we gear up for our next Legislative session, which will be March 2023 to May 2023. We already have a list of bill we will be promoting to ensure we continue to protect Florida’s Web3 environment, some of which will be discussed at our last gathering this year, FBBS Tampa.

You will see more focused newsletters coming from FBBA on these policies in the weeks to come.

All the best,

Samuel Armes
