House Republicans Push To Restructure SEC

Rep. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, and House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., introduced the SEC Stabilization Act that would restructure the SEC and remove Chairman Gary Gensler from his post.
The GOP lawmakers point to what they say is Gensler’s "long series of abuses that have been permitted under the current SEC structure."

Bitcoin miners Moving $174 Million ASAP

The 14-day average of miner transfers to exchanges has increased sharply to 489.26 BTC, the highest since March 2021. Meanwhile, the balance in wallets associated with miners has decreased by nearly 2,000 BTC in two weeks.

The movement of coins from miner or investor wallets to exchanges is often equated with an intention to sell or liquidate coins. As such, increased movement of coins from miners to exchanges is widely perceived as bearish.

While there is a prevailing belief among many that the Federal Reserve will refrain from increasing the rate this month, a considerable number of analysts and economists hold the view that the Fed will maintain this pause throughout the entirety of 2023.

“The encouraging trend in consumer prices will provide the Fed some leeway to keep rates unchanged this month and if the trend continues, the Fed will not likely hike for the rest of the year,” Jeffrey Roach, chief economist at LPL Financial told CNBC on Tuesday following the latest CPI report.
